The Play Active School Soccer (PASS) program, offered at Burnaby Central Secondary, is
accepting registrations for September's intake of dedicated players, grade 8 to 12. This program
offers players the opportunity to attend soccer training, fitness training and soccer education
during the first block of school every day.
Established in 2005 by Derek Possee (former Tottenham and Whitecap player) and
Geoff McCormick, PASS provides high achieving soccer players the opportunity to pursue
academic excellence while participating in a high performance soccer program. This is achieved
through provisions that will allow secondary students to attend school and take advantage of an
integrated program of academics and athletics.
The program was specifically designed to compliment club training while providing players the
opportunity to sharpen their skills, improve their fitness and increase game awareness with daily
on-field coaching everyday throughout the school year.
